All About Me

Mrs Witte's Family

I was born and raised in Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan where I received my BA in Education. After spending so many years up north, I was ready for some sunshine so I headed to Florida! I taught for six years in Cape Canaveral where I also met my husband. After we got married we moved to Boise, ID where I taught kindergarten for two years and received National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification in Early Childhood Education. My husband’s job took us to Loveland, CO where I taught first grade for four years. We then moved here to Douglas County. I took a ten year break to be a stay-at-home mom to Maddie (17) and Lucas (15). I was lucky enough to join them here at our home school, Acres Green! This is my eighth year teaching kindergarten here and I love it!

My family and I love to ski at Winter Park. We also go to lots of soccer games to watch Maddie play, and baseball games to watch Lucas. We have a Chocolate Lab named Copper and a corn snake named Kyle. In my free time I love to read and play tennis.

I am looking forward to our year together and can't wait to learn more about each one of you!
