Mrs. Buntin, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Rethman, and Mrs. Swaen are Acres Green’s ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers.   

ESL services are for students who qualify because English is not their primary language.  Our ESL programs is designed to make grade level academic content accessible to English Language Learners (ELLs). The ESL program targets English language development, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, through academic content instruction that is linguistically and culturally appropriate.

Currently, within the hybrid model, Mrs. Buntin works with the ESL students in grades K-3 and Mrs. Swaen works with the ESL students in grades 4-6, when the students are at Acres Green.  Mrs. Rethman helps support those ESL students who are working at home, within the hybrid model.  And Mrs. Johnson works with those ESL students doing eLearning.

Los servicios de ESL son para estudiantes que califican porque el inglés no es su idioma principal. Nuestros programas de ESL están diseñados para hacer que el contenido académico de nivel de grado sea accesible para los estudiantes del idioma inglés (ELL). El programa de ESL tiene como objetivo el desarrollo del idioma inglés, incluidas las habilidades para escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir, a través de la instrucción de contenido académico que es lingüística y culturalmente apropiada.

Actualmente, dentro del modelo híbrido, Mrs. Buntin trabaja con los estudiantes de ESL en los grados K-3 y Mrs. Swaen trabaja con los estudiantes de ESL en los grados 4-6, cuando los estudiantes están en Acres Green. Mrs. Rethman ayuda a apoyar a los estudiantes de ESL que trabajan en casa, dentro del modelo híbrido. Y Mrs. Johnson trabaja con esos estudiantes de ESL en eLearning.
