PTO

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year and the Acres Green Elementary School Community from your Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! We look forward to working together with you and each of your families to enrich the experiences of our children this year, especially during these unique times. With your involvement, we can continue to support our fantastic staff to create lasting and meaningful learning experiences for all of our children, whether it is in-person or virtually.

What does the PTO do?

The primary purpose of our organization is to coordinate community building activities and fundraise for our school.  We work together to raise money for events and materials that enrich the experiences of the students and we support community events that build connections amongst our families and school staff.

Where does the money go?

Principal Gina Smith focuses her budget on the most important resource at Acres Green Elementary School--the faculty and staff who are essential to the academic success of our children. The PTO works to supplement our children’s experiences with things such as resources for the library, materials to support the Leader in Me curriculum, STEM Materials and updated technology.

Get Involved

  • Attend PTO general virtual meetings and stay informed by reading the weekly email updates. The PTO general meetings are a great way to meet people and to find out how to participate and volunteer in the PTO activities and events.

  • Support PTO-sponsored fundraisers. Due to the COVID pandemic and families returning to a normal routine, we are postponing our larger fundraising efforts until the Spring.  We hope that we will be able to host the Run4Funds and Auction and other fun, community-related fundraising events in early months of 2021….so be on the lookout.

    • In the meantime, we always accept ‘direct donations’ to the PTO that will be used 100% on our school.  If you are interested, please have your student bring a check (or cash) made out to “AGE PTO”.

    • Safe, social-distanced fundraising events we will be participating in this Fall are:  Take Out Restaurant Nights, King Soopers Community Rewards, and Milk Caps for Moolah.

    • Volunteer for Monthly Teacher Appreciation Activities. Come to the next meeting to learn more.
