Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Childress

I am very excited for a new school year here at Acres Green Elementary. Previous to Acres Green I taught 5th grade for three years in Elizabeth, Colorado. This will be my ninth year teaching 5th grade, and I must say that I absolutely love this age group! Seeing the changes and growth in each and every student always blows me away.

I was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, but grew up in Parker, Colorado. I am so happy to be teaching in Douglas County where I had the privilege to grow up and graduate from. After high school, I attended the University of Northern Colorado (go Bears!), where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a focus in mathematics.
