Learning Specialists
Meet the Staff
Jaqueline Collins
Mild/Moderate Needs
Hello! My name is Jackie Collins, and I’m excited for another amazing year at Acres Green Elementary as a Learning Specialist.
For those of you who don’t know me yet, I met my husband right here in Colorado many years ago while working at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium. We have two boys, ages 25 and 14 and one very loved dog.
When I teach, I see the classroom as more than just a place for lessons; I strive to create a learning community where every child feels seen, supported, and valued. One of my biggest goals is to help children build confidence by creating a safe, encouraging space where they feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and learning from mistakes. I want every child to discover what sparks their curiosity and find joy in learning.
After being a classroom teacher for 17 years, I made the exciting switch to Special Education last year—and I absolutely love my role as a Learning Specialist. I’m truly looking forward to meeting each of you and your children, and I can’t wait to see all the growth and progress we’ll make together this year.

Mild/Moderate Needs
Hi, I’m Dana Dieddrich! I’ve been teaching for a total of 12 years, and this is my second year working as a mild/moderate special education teacher at Acres Green. Before that, I taught 2nd and 1st grade. I love helping students grow and find success in and out of the classroom. I'm also a proud mom to two amazing kids—Daniel (23) and Olivia (21)—and I have the sweetest dog named Denali. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my kids, taking Denali for walks, going to the movies, reading a good book, and getting outside for a hike.
