Arrival
Acres Green will be having a "soft start" this year. Students are welcome to come into the classroom beginning at 8:20. The first bell rings at 8:35 and the tardy bell rings at 8:40. Kindergarten students may enter through the front doors of the school and will be directed through the building to their classrooms. Bus riders will be escorted from the bus to the classroom by an adult.
Dismissal
Bus riders will be escorted to the bus by an adult. BASE students will be escorted to BASE. Teachers will escort car riders and walkers to the front of the building by the flagpole and remain with them until they are picked up.
Breakfast
Breakfast is available to purchase from the cafeteria.
Lunch
Students will be eating lunch in the cafeteria. Children may bring a lunch from home or purchase lunch from the cafeteria. You may set up an account online.
Snacks
Please pack a healthy snack daily, separate from their lunch. Snacks need to be ready to eat including utensils if needed (for example, plastic spoons for fruit cups). We encourage healthy snacks such as fruit, veggies, breakfast bars, cheese and crackers, boxed raisins, and dried fruit. We will be eating snack outside.
Water
Staying hydrated is important for those hard-working brains. Please send an unbreakable water bottle daily, labeled with your child's name.
Specials
Our Specials are P.E., Music, and Art. We rotate through Specials for one week at a time, in that order. Please have your child wear or bring gym shoes during P.E. and Fitness weeks.
Birthdays
We love to celebrate birthdays here at school! This year we will not be able to celebrate with treats or goody bags brought from home. We will recognize the birthday child in other ways on their special day.
Backpacks
Please check your child's backpack daily for important remote learning materials.
